Small Business Saturday: Satuday, November 26th Shop Local!

Many of you braved the streets for Black Friday and are getting your fingers ready for Cyber Monday BUT do not forget about the what I consider one of the most important shopping days--Small Business Saturday. This spectacular day is the peanut butter and jelly of the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sandwich...and it's the bread and butter of most small businesses.
As you know the holidays are prime time shopping time and usually big box stores get most of the action but this initiative sponsored by American Express allows the spotlight to shine on local boutiques and businesses in your own community. To find out who's participating in Small Business Saturday in your area visit the AE Facebook Page. Here in Charlotte there will be a kickoff celebration taking place at Atherton Mill Market from 10am-6pm, as well as other places in the SouthEnd Area including Healthy Home Market, The Furniture District and more. You can find additional details about these events here.  But don't just stay in SouthEnd (although they have great shops!) venture out to your favorite shop...or stop in a new place and support shopping local.
