While I believe every season is gift season THIS month is when gifts are most thought about most by the masses- the holiday season! Stores are having sales, magazines are highlighting the best gifts for every one on your list and well I could not be happier.

Gifts are taking center stage (like Diana Ross in The Supremes and Beyonce in Destiny's Child) and I'm lovin it so get out there and make someone happy with a lil something something for the season. I urge you to run (not walk) to Joseph-Beth Booksellers this weekend. All books are 30% off and all other items (they also carry calendars, Christmas decorations, wrapping paper, stationary) are 40% off. Alert: Simply Noted Closing Sale

Simply Noted, a cute paper store and more in Baltimore has decided to close its doors. The owner sent out a note to those on her mailing list (thanks for passing along, Monee) stating that she is closing Simply Noted. The store was coming up on its eighth year in business but according to the email the last two years were challenging due to the changes in stationary industry and consumer marketplace.

The entire store is between 30%-60% including not only the stationary, gifts and greeting cards but also displays. Please stop by before they close...an exact date of when they close was not in the email but they did ask people to stop by between summer vacations so you have until then to pick up some great items! Simply Noted is located in Belvedere Square near the Senator Theatre at 544 E. Belvedere Avenue.

Sale Alert: Nordstrom is currently having a shoe clearance sale in stores and online for women, men and kids. I guess they are making way for new inventory. I perused online and there are flats, sandals, boots and more that are 33-40% off the original price.

I saw a pair of hot Steve Madden Mellisa Black Platform Sandals on sale for $64.90 (original price $109.95). I'm just saying...
