I was browsing through my December issue of Town & Country Magazine and what I saw made me smile...in the Beauty & Health section women shared what they do to stay beautiful during these tough economic times and one gave an answer that I recommended to my HoneeBee fam back in May. I called it a Day of Relaxation and it was a tip for Mother's Day. Check out the orginal post here. The Town and Country interviewee, Elaine Griffin, interior designer and author who lives in NYC said:
"My favorite gift to myself is [what I call] spa house, when you have your groomers come to you, especially when they're the best of the best....it's like getting dressed for the Oscars...only in my pj's."
Wow! How cool is that? I'm still smiling...now only if she said HoneeBee gave her that idea!
Anyhoo, just a reminder that this gift tip that I mentioned for Mother's Day could also be a good holiday gift. Don't forget to check out the HoneeBee Gifts archives too. There's some good stuff there, if I do say so myself:)

I know some people are like who? Price Pritchett? Mr. Pritchett is Chairman & CEO of PRITCHETT, LP, a Dallas-based consulting and training firm with offices in eight other countries. His firm was the first in the United States to specialize in merger integration strategy, and he has spent 30 years as an advisor to senior management in Fortune 500 companies, governmental organizations, and not-for-profits. His assignments have taken him to Europe, Asia, and throughout the Americas. Not a sexy celeb but a sexy smart businessman. Even better! I decided to use this quote to give a twist on Black Friday...the most famous shopping day of the year. Just think about it.Monday, October 12, 2009

When In Style Magazine asked Model Iman what her most treasured piece of jewelry was she responded saying....
My 15th anniversary present from David, a large rose-cut diamond solitaire from Fred Leighton. My husband is the best gift giver. This is my favorite...for now.
Sidenote: In the same interview Iman was asked "When did you know he (husband David Bowie) was the man for you? She said...and I quote "We were walking down the street, and I noticed my shoelace was untied. Without a word, he got down on his knees and tied it for me. I melted".She melts. I swoon.

This quote is from Heidi Klum on receiving a gift from her husband and musical artist, Seal....
"Seal got me a tennis bracelet, and he put it on me in my sleep. When I woke up to feed the baby, I noticed it"

How cute is that?

Living artfully might require taking the time to buy things with soul for the home. Good linens, a special rug, or a simple teapot can be a source of enrichment not only in our own life, but also in the lives of our children and grandchildren.

To Kill a Mockingbird is a classic and while we all read it in school, it might be time for a refresher.
